ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการยอมรับการผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์ของเกษตรกรอำเภอบางสะพาน จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาสถานการณ์การผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์ของเกษตรกร 2) ศึกษาระดับการยอมรับการผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์ของเกษตรกร 3) ศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการยอมรับการผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์ของเกษตรกร และ 4) เสนอแนวทางการส่งเสริมการยอมรับการผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์ของเกษตรกร อำเภอบางสะพาน จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้วยแบบสอบถามจากตัวแทนครัวเรือนเกษตรกรที่ทำเกษตรกรรมด้านการผลิตมะพร้าว จำนวน 377 คน ได้มาโดยจากการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบแบ่งชั้นภูมิ และเก็บข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพ ได้มาจากการสัมภาษณ์และการประชุมกลุ่มย่อย จากกลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลักประกอบด้วย เกษตรอำเภอ ประธานกลุ่มและตัวแทนเกษตรกร โดยการเลือกแบบเฉพาะเจาะจง จำนวน 12 คน สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณ ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การวิเคราะห์การถดถอยพหุคูณแบบขั้นตอน และการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพโดยใช้วิธีการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา
ผลวิจัยพบว่า 1) เกษตรกรอำเภอบางสะพานนำหลักการปฏิบัติตามแนวทางเกษตรอินทรีย์มาใช้ในการผลิตมะพร้าวตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2546 โดยปัจจุบันมีเกษตรกรผู้ผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์จำนวน 84 ราย และมีพื้นที่ทำการผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์จำนวน 1,471 ไร่ 2) ระดับการยอมรับการผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์ของเกษตรกรโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก 3) ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการยอมรับการผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์ของเกษตรกร ได้แก่ ทัศนคติต่อการผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์ ลักษณะการถือครองที่ดิน ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์ และอายุ โดยร่วมกันอธิบายการยอมรับการผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์ของเกษตรกรได้ร้อยละ 14.90 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และ 4) แนวทางการส่งเสริมการยอมรับการผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์ ได้แก่ การอบรมให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์ การเสริมสร้างจิตสำนึกในการผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์ที่ถูกต้องและเหมาะสม การขยายพื้นที่การผลิตมะพร้าว สนับสนุนให้คนรุ่นใหม่มีความสนใจในการผลิตมะพร้าวอินทรีย์ และการส่งเสริมการรวมกลุ่มที่เข้มแข็ง

ABSTRACT
This research was aimed to: 1) study the farmers’ situation of organic coconut production; 2) study the level of farmers’ adoption of organic coconut production; 3) study the factors affecting farmers’ adoption of organic coconut production; and 4) propose the guidelines for promoting adoption of organic coconut production to farmers in Bang Saphan District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The data were collected by a questionnaire. The sample was 377 representatives of coconut farmer households derived by stratified random sampling. The qualitative data were collected by an in-depth interviews and a focus group discussion. The key informants were 12 chiefs of district agricultural extension officer, presidents and representatives of farmer groups, derived by purposive sampling. The statistics used for quantitative data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The qualitative data were analyzed by content analysis.
The results were as follows: 1) farmers in Bang Saphan District have applied the organic agriculture principles in coconut production since 2003. At present, there are 84 organic coconut farmers with the production area of 1,471 rai. 2) Overall, the farmers’ adoption of organic coconut production was at a high level. 3) The factors affecting farmers’ adoption of organic coconut production were attitudes towards organic coconut production, type of land ownership, knowledge of organic coconut production, and age of farmers. These factors together predicted the farmers’ adoption of organic coconut production at the percentage of 14.90 with the statistical significance of .05. 4) The guidelines for promoting the farmers’ adoption of organic coconut production were training farmers about organic coconut production; enhancing awareness of correct and suitable organic coconut production; expanding of organic coconut production area; encouraging new generations’ interest in organic coconut production; and promoting a strong community for organic coconut production.
